For You, Mom

My 30th disco party!

I was fortunate enough to grow up with a mother who taught me to believe in myself. She influenced my accomplishments in ways that I can only now fully appreciate.

Her passionate hope was that I would be successful in whichever endeavor made me most happy. Undeniably, I would not be the person I am today without the unconditional love of my mom.

Now that I am a mother, I realize what a great teacher and guide my mom has been. She instilled in me strong morals and values that have always counseled me in the right direction.

Her motto was “Don’t wish for it, work for it.” She imbued in me a work ethic that I now respect more than ever. And when I was knocked down, she would remind me of the words of Eleanor Roosevelt: “A woman is like a tea bag; you never know how strong it is until it’s in hot water.” :) Those wise words would always pick me up and charge me with strength.

My mom has always believed in me–even when nobody else did–and her love, belief and support has inspired me to dust myself off and be the best that I can be.

Even as she instilled in me a solid work ethic, she also taught me the importance of balance—and fun. My mom has always been right beside me, whether it’s playing the part in a costume or tailgating at a football game. Her sense of humor and willingness to participate in my “crazy’” makes me the proudest daughter in the world!

Mom, I am so grateful for the guidance that you have blessed me with; and it’s now my mission to raise Ava with those same blessings!

I love you, Mom.

Happy, Happy Mother’s Day!!

Just remember Stacy that your daughter will learn 75% of what will stay with her for the rest of her life in her first five years and lots of it from watching you and her dad, so careful what you expose her to and the more talented things you expose her to at this young age the better her chances become when she is older, just make sure you instill in her confidence and hard work ethics and never giving up, happy mother's day Stacy Keibler.
