Finding New Ways To Enjoy Spinach

As you probably already know, spinach is a superfood for pregnant women. It’s jam-packed with folic acid, iron, potassium, fiber and calcium, all of which are vital for your newborn. (Without adequate amounts of folic acid, your baby may experience developmental defects in the brain and spinal cord.) Leafy greens are jam-packed with vitamin A too, which aid eyesight development, as well as bone and skin growth.

As nutritious as it is, eating the same side of spinach day after day can get boring. That’s why I love finding new ways to spice it up! By throwing a handful of spinach in your morning smoothie or cooking it with a little bit of coconut oil and garlic, you can immediately switch it up and enjoy this green in a whole new way.

Try it lightly sauteed in an omelette, or swapping it for lettuce in your sandwiches! I also love using spinach as a pizza topping or blending it into a pesto sauce.

    I decorate the outer edges of my girls' plates with raw spinach each night and they have come to learn to enjoy eating "the spinach flower" as part of their supper. Peace and greens! :)

    Love it with strawberries and a little raspberry dressing and for a change I toast pecans and toss a few on top . Also good if you just heat vinegar add a TSP. of sweetener pour this over spinach .

    Our favorite spinach recipe : My mom' s super delicious spinach . Cook The onions , cut The spinach and mix them . Add a little hot water , a few rice . When rice is cooked , spinach is ready to eat . Pour garlic yoghurt sauce on it . You will be blown away bon appetit
